TRAVELING BY PLANE

Flying to Pisa
Transavia flies on a daily basis to Pisa from Amsterdam Airport, with flights usually leaving Amsterdam around 12pm, arriving at 2pm CET. You can either rent a car and drive to Montevarchi (1.5h drive) or take the train, which takes around 2.5h. We recommend renting a car, as this allows you to enjoy the beautiful country side of Tuscany.
Flying to Firenze Airport
Flying to Firenze is a bit more expensive , but you are closer to the venue. KLM offers multiple flights through the day, with the last one leaving 5pm (arriving 7pm CET in Italy). Again, you can either rent a car or take public transport as there is a train station in Montevarchi. If you rent a car,it’s a 45min drive using the A1 highway. Laurens loves this one as its a 3lane highway where you can drive 130km/h (ie 160 km/h in Italy. because Italy) through the hills of Rignano sull’Arno and Figline Valdarno.
Public transport is also fine. From the airport, take the airport tram (Peretola Aeroporto) to Santa Maria Novelle, from where you can take the train to the south of Italy. Within 45min you arrive in Montevarchi.
